Manhasset, NY – Supervisor Jon Kaiman, Councilman Fred Pollack, Councilman Tom Dwyer, Town Clerk Michelle Schimel, and Comander Joe Lax of the Roslyn VFW Post 5253 announced today that the Town of North Hempsteadand the Roslyn VFW Hall would be designated drop off sites for the Marines Toys for Tots program.  Members of the community can drop off new, unwrapped toys at Town Hall on 220 Plandome Road in Manhasset, The Clerk’s Office on 200 Plandome Road in Manhasset, or the Roslyn VFW Post on 155 Searingtown Road.  In addition, Clark Botanic Garden located in Albertson and the Michael J.             The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is a not-for-profit public charity that provides the funding and support needed for successful annual toy collection and distribution campaigns. The primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver a message of hope to needy children that will motivate them to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders.

“The holiday season is supposed to be a time of joy and with assistance from our generous residents we hope to brighten the season for needy children,” stated Michelle Schimel.

Councilman Dwyer added, “We can only hope that this year’s toy drive is as successful as the previous years.”
