Supervisor Kaiman: Volunteers Needed for Gold Coast Film Festival

North Hempstead, NY—The world of film, with all its intrigue and excitement will take center stage in North Hempstead this June. In preparation for North Hempstead’s first annual Gold Coast International Film Festival June 1—5, Supervisor Jon Kaiman is appealing to residents to become volunteers for what promises to be an extraordinary, inaugural event.

Co-hosted by the Town of North Hempstead and the Great Neck Arts Center, the Festival will take in five communities: Great Neck, Manhasset, Roslyn, Herricks and Port Washington.

“Volunteers are going to be the key to ensuring a positive and successful Film Festival here in North Hempstead,” said Supervisor Jon Kaiman. “In addition to galvanizing local and regional audiences on the storied Gold Coast, the Film Festival will support industry by injecting much needed dollars into the local economy. I urge everyone who is able to get involved.”

Volunteers are needed in the months and weeks prior to and during the Festival. Volunteer positions include, but are not limited to, office help, box office, ushers, concessions, food service, events and on-call helpers.
