North Hempstead Councilwomen participate in POD Training

Port Washington, NY—Town of North Hempstead Councilwoman Maria-Christina Poons and Councilwoman Lee Seeman participated in a Point of Dispensing (POD) training seminar at Harbor Links Golf Course on February 15, 2008. A POD is a location within a community where medications, both oral and injectable, can be quickly distributed to the public during a health emergency. Councilwoman Poons and Councilwoman Seeman attended the training to emphasize the importance of having trained officials at the POD locations in the event of an emergency.
