Tully Installing Chair Lift While Elevator is Repaired

North Hempstead, NY – North Hempstead Department of Parks and Recreation announced today that the Town will be installing a temporary chair lift this week at Michael J. Tully Park in New Hyde Park, so that handicapped patrons can access any floor of the facility while the facility’s elevator is being replaced.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused to our park patrons,” Jill Weber, Commissioner of Parks and Recreation. “The elevator will be repaired as soon as possible, but meanwhile, anyone wishing to access any floor can get where they need to go.”
