Membership fee now all inclusive!

North Hempstead, NY – Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board are proud to announce that the North Hempstead “Yes We Can” Community Center is offering FREE use of newly-renovated fitness center, now through January 31, 2017. New fees are now all-inclusive. A $150 adult membership for a resident will entitle the user access to the first floor’s regulation-size basketball court and the fully-equipped fitness center and classes. Previously, membership fees had been offered separately for basketball (upper level) only and gym membership (lower level fitness room).

“This beautiful facility is a great deal for anyone wishing to join a gym for a very reasonable fee and North Hempstead residents can try it out for free until January 31, 2017,” said Supervisor Bosworth. “Our newly renovated fitness center is well-equipped and our schedule of classes offers something for everyone.”

“Now through the end of January we invite residents to take advantage of a free open house to explore our new fitness renovations,” said Council Member Viviana Russell. “Anyone, resident or nonresident, can come in and try out the facility before making a commitment to join.”

The new fees for the facility will be:

Residents
Adult Membership: $150 annual/ $12.50 monthly
Discounted Membership: (including seniors, veterans, volunteers, disabled and employees): $120 annual/ $10 monthly
Project Independence Membership: $120 annual/$10 monthly
Youth Membership (Ages 5-17): $30 annual/$2.50 monthly
Young Adult Membership (Ages 18-24): $120 annual/$10 monthly

Non-Residents
Adult Membership: $180 annual/ $15 monthly
Discounted Membership: (including seniors, veterans, volunteers, disabled and employees): $144 annual/ $12 monthly
Youth Membership (Ages 5-17): $36 annual/$3 monthly
Young Adult Membership (Ages 18-24): $144 annual/$12 monthly

The newly renovated fitness center includes new lights and flooring. Free weights and other strength equipment will be available in the near future.

The Community Center will also be offering evening youth arts and craft classes.
