Weather Update: Winter Storm Jonas
  • Supervisor Bosworth reminds residents to not leave your house unless absolutely necessary.

  • New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced a travel ban on the Long Island Expressway and Northern State Parkway until Sunday, January 24 at 7 a.m. The travel ban applies to all local and state roads in New York City and on Long Island, and Port Authority’s trans-Hudson crossingshttp://on.ny.gov/23l1xRZ

  • Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board have announced that the Town’s Department of Parks and Recreation will be holding a “Snow Day” for kids at Michael J. Tully Park. Festivities will take place Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Residents are invited to go sledding, and take part in activities including snowman making, an obstacle course and more. Hot chocolate will also be provided for attendees. Call 311 for more.

  • Please get your cars off the streets and into your driveway so that Town plows can clear the roads. Please call 311 or 516-869-6311 if you have any questions.

  • All programs at Town facilities have been cancelled for Saturday. 

    The Town of North Hempstead’s Saturday Program for youth with Developmental Disabilities is cancelled this Saturday, January 23 due to weather predictions.

  • Commuters are asked not to park in the Port Washington Parking District's Parking Lots this weekend to allow for the Town's Department of Highways to easily plow.
