Town Reminds Residents to Report Graffiti to 311

North Hempstead, NY – Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board would like to remind residents that they should contact the Town’s 311 Call Center to report any incident of graffiti.

“Reporting graffiti to 311 will enable members from the Town’s Public Safety Department to deal appropriately with the matter,” said Supervisor Judi Bosworth. “This in turn, will allow the Town to follow up with each case individually and issue the necessary notice of violations and.”

According to the Town Code, those who are responsible for creating graffiti are liable for the cost of its removal. In addition, it is the responsibility of any individual deemed the owner or occupying the residence to remove or cover graffiti even if the owner or occupant was not responsible for creating the graffiti.

There are several ways in which residents contact the 311 Call Center:
