North Hempstead Welcomes the Return of ISTEP Soccer Clinic and Exchange Program to Tully Park

New Hyde Park, NY
–After an extremely successful camp in late June, North Hempstead Town Supervisor Jon Kaiman and the Town Board are eager to welcome back the Italian Soccer Training Program (ISTEP) for another clinic at Michael J. Tully Park from August 26 through August 30, 2013.

The clinic will be daily from 9:00am to 11:00am and is conducted by UEFA (Union of European Football Association) and AC Milan Youth-certified trainers. The goal of ISTEP is to foster the development of U.S. youth soccer players and programs on Long Island and establish a player exchange program for Italian and American youth players.

“North Hempstead is proud to collaborate in hosting this progressive program which will not only help young athletes develop the motor skills essential for soccer, but also gives them the opportunity to learn from professional trainers certified by the world renowned soccer club AC Milan, right here at a North Hempstead Town park,” Supervisor Kaiman said.

The clinic features specific individual player objectives for strikers, defense and goalkeepers to improve their effectiveness on the field. The clinic features special guest striker Massimo Agostini, former world class striker for AC Milan, AS Roma and Napoli.

The average enrollment of the co-ed camp is expected to be approximately 80 players between the ages of 8-15. Fees for the week-long camp are $225 per child.

Interested individuals can enroll immediately by signing up online at istepusa.com/Fall_Clinic2013.html or calling them at (516) 474-1823.
