All Paws in the Pool!
Town to Host First Doggie Pool Party at C.G. Martin Park

North Hempstead, NY – North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board announced the Town’s first ever Doggie Pool Party at Clinton G. Martin Park Pool on Tuesday, September 8 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

“With summer coming to a close and the pools preparing to be drained, we thought this would be the perfect opportunity for dogs and their owners to get in one last swim,” said Supervisor Judi Bosworth. “This new program is perfect for dog owners looking for one last summer activity.”

All dogs must be licensed and accompanied by their owners but there will be an opportunity to license your dog at the event. For those looking to license their dog, please bring a current rabies certificate and a spay/neuter certificate (if applicable) to register.

The event is part of the Town’s effort to be more dog friendly. A recently approved six month pilot program now allows dogs on leashes at North Hempstead Beach Park, Mary Jane Davies Green and Michael J. Tully Park.

The event is free. All attendees must be residents of the New Hyde Park special park district, but do not have to be a member of the pool to take advantage of the event. For more information, please call 311.
