Project Independence Zumba Class to Submit Video for First Lady’s “Let’s Move” Campaign

New Hyde Park, NY – North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth took part in the highly successful Project Independence Zumba class at the Tully Park Physical Activities Center on April 1st. Members of the class, comprised of about 50 seniors each week, will be sending a video from this class to First Lady Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” campaign, a program designed at motivating others to stay active and healthy. Zumba is a dance fitness program which is the most popular of the fitness programs offered by North Hempstead’s Project Independence. The popular class at Tully Park instructed by Margaret Gatzonis gets together each Tuesday afternoon at 12:30pm. For more information, please call 311.
