Town of North Hempstead to Host Rabies Vaccination Clinic

North Hempstead, NY – Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth has announced that the Town of North Hempstead Animal Shelter, in partnership with the Nassau County Department of Health and the Shelter Connection, is offering a FREE Rabies Clinic.

Scheduled for Saturday, May 10th from 10:00am to 12:00 noon, the clinic will be held at the Town of North Hempstead Animal Shelter, and will offer vaccinations and dog licensing.

“We are delighted to be offering this valuable service to our residents. It is important for all pets to be up to date on their vaccinations and to be properly licensed with the Town,” said Supervisor Bosworth.

Free rabies vaccinations for dogs and cats will be available to residents across Nassau County. The Town will be offering dog licenses and renewals on site administered by the North Hempstead Animal Shelter at a cost of $7 for spayed/neutered dogs and $15 for unspayed/unneutered dogs. This is for Town residents only.

Dogs must be on leashes and cats in carriers.
